TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida A&M University announced its' 2008 football schedule on Friday afternoon, an 11-game slate which features five home games in Bragg Memorial Stadium.
FAMU, now under the veteran coaching leadership of Joe Taylor, will open the 2008 campaign at home on August 30 against Alabama State. The remaining home schedule begins in October, with back-to-back games against Winston-Salem State (Oct. 11) and South Carolina State (Oct. 18).
Homecoming 2008 will be November 1 against Morgan State, with the home slate wrapping up on November 15 against Hampton University.
The Rattlers, as usual, will face a rugged six-game road slate, kicking off with three road dates in September.
FAMU travels to Delaware State (Sept. 6) in Dover; takes on Howard University in Philadelphia, most likely at Franklin Field (Sept. 20), finishing the month in Atlanta against Tennessee State in the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic (Sept. 27), at the Georgia Dome.
In October, FAMU treks to Norfolk (Va.) State (Oct. 25); travels to Greensboro to take on North Carolina A&T (Nov. 8), before closing out their road schedule in Orlando against archrival Bethune-Cookman in the Walt Disney World Florida Classic, presented by State Farm (Nov. 22), at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
