LANDOVER, Md. - The Florida A&M Men's Track team competed for honors in the 2008 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships here over the weekend, finishing seventh overall at the two-day event.

Florida A&M finished the meet with 44 total points, picking up 13 Top Ten finishes on Friday and Saturday. Norfolk State defended their 2007 Indoor title, scoring 170 points to run away with the event, with Delaware State (64) and Maryland-Eastern Shore (61) a distant second and third.

•Edwisht Olmann headed the group of Rattler Top Ten finishers, finishing second in the triple jump (15.07 meters), while Kevin Elliott grabbed eighth (14.06). Elliott and teammate Bryan Turner tied for second in the high jump (2.05 meters), while Mike White (4.24 meters) finished fourth in the pole vault.

•In the running events, Daquam Lee finished fifth in the 800 meters (1:54.43), while Carl McKenzie ran fifth in the 60 meter hurdles (8.17). Lee also ran 10th in the mile (4:28.33), while Carlos Franklin grabbed sixth in the 5000 meters (16:09.48).

•In the relays, the Distance Medley combo of Lee, Franklin, Stanley Suber and Omari Crawford) ran fifth (10:27.69), while the 4x400 relay team of Lee, Crawford, Suber and Ronald Bolden finished ninth (3:21.83).
