The Atlanta metro area will undergo an Orange and Green sports blitz this weekend as six Florida A&M University sports teams will be in action in the Southeast sports and cultural mecca.

•The Rattler Golf Team will vie for top honors in the Coca-Cola Hall of Fame Classic in Atlanta, Thursday through Saturday, September 27-29.

@The FAMU linksters are coming off a Top 10 finish in the Jackson (Miss.) State Invitational a week ago.

•FAMU's Women's and Men's Cross Country teams will take part in the Atlanta Classic, hosted jointly by Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College on Saturday, September 29.

@Both teams are coming off seventh place finishes in last weekend's Florida State Invitational in Tallahassee.

•The FAMU Women's and Men's Tennis teams will do battle in the annual HBCU National Tennis Championships, featuring nearly two dozen collegiate programs competing from Thursday, September 27 through Sunday, September 30.

@Both FAMU teams will be in full competition this week, after each team sent a pair of players to the Thomasville (Ga.) Collegiate Invitational two weeks ago.

•Of course, the Rattler Football Team (1-2) returns to play after an open date on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against Tennessee State in the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic at the Georgia Dome.
